We are now looking for a new chef for the high school restaurant.

Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a trained chef with passion and creativity to strengthen the team at Västervik High School along with the attached cafeteria. You will work as a chef in the school restaurant but also spend some time in the cafeteria. We offer a varied job and we view rotation within the workgroup positively.

As a chef with us, you will be responsible for tasks such as preparing delicious and nutritious meals that meet our guests' needs, working with sustainability and measuring food waste, ensuring self-control in the kitchen, and following hygiene and safety routines. You will make orders for raw materials and ensure cost-effective handling of food. You will work in digital systems for documentation and orders. Collaborate with other staff to create a pleasant and efficient work environment, as well as perform other tasks in the kitchen and restaurant such as dishwashing and cleaning.

Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, and during Christmas and summer holidays, weekend work in another kitchen is also included.

Your Qualifications

You who are applying are a trained chef and have experience working in large kitchens. You have training and good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control programs. A B driver's license with experience in manual transmission is also required for the position.

Knowledge of sustainable meals and practical preparation of special diets is an advantage, as well as previous experience working in food data programs or if you have worked in large kitchens before.

Meal Service is constantly working on continuous and small improvements every day, which means you need to be solution-oriented and innovative. You also have good computer skills and are comfortable working in systems and programs. We strive to utilize and enrich our operations with our employees' backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge. We focus on improving meals, service, and cooking methods, and you will be an important piece of that development.
