Social Services

The Social Services are responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and must implement interventions regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by the individual at the center to meet individual needs. The mission involves a strong customer focus and service spirit.

Strandvägen

Strandvägen comprises two units with a total of 60 residential care places. Five departments focus on dementia care and two departments focus on somatic care. We work cross-professionally in teams together with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. About 60 employees work at the unit. We also collaborate with ULS operations that run our café.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant in residential care, you will provide residents with good care and support based on their individual needs and wishes. You will respectfully guide, support, and motivate residents to manage their daily routines in the best way according to their own abilities. Job tasks can vary from personal hygiene, care, cleaning, laundry, support during meals and social activities, outdoor activities, and collaboration with relatives. It includes being a contact person, planning, implementing, documenting in the Viva system, and following up on care work. You will also perform health and medical care and rehabilitation interventions as prescribed by nurses and rehabilitation staff. Together, we develop the operations through our various competencies, and we want you to contribute to a good result and the best possible daily life for the residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal competencies:

• You have a completed degree in care and support.
• You are accustomed to using a computer as a support in your work and easily adapt to new digital tools.
• You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish as the role involves documentation.
• Experience in care and support-related tasks.

Personal competencies:

• You organize and plan your work well, working according to a clear process where you complete what you have started. You set deadlines and meet them.
• You actively take initiative in social contexts, step forward, and find it easy to create and maintain new relationships.
• You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You have the interest, will, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.
