Psychiatric Nurse for Mobile Team

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Psychiatry Services

The Psychiatry Services at Kungälv Hospital is responsible for psychiatric care for both children and adults in Kungälv, Stenungsund/Tjörn, Ale, and Kärra-Rödbo.

The services include inpatient care with two wards focusing on general psychiatry, psychosis, and addiction, as well as general psychiatric outpatient clinics, a psychosis team, psychiatric emergency services, day care units for eating disorders, DBT services, and child and adolescent psychiatric clinics.

Mobile Team

The mobile team receives its assignments from the outpatient care, inpatient care, and emergency services of the organization.

The mobile team performs psychiatric interventions such as counseling, support, assessments, and follow-ups when acute needs arise or when extended treatment interventions are necessary. Interventions take place in the patient's local environment, by phone, or at the psychiatric emergency department.

The team consists of four nurses who work in pairs. Every other weekend shift, with working hours scheduled in the afternoon and evening, from 1 PM to 11 PM.

Job Responsibilities

As a psychiatric nurse in the mobile team, you will collaborate with various professionals in the organization depending on who has assigned the task, whether it be a doctor, nurse, or another therapist.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with further education in psychiatry. You should have experience in psychiatric emergency care and/or psychiatric outpatient care. Previous experience in mobile work is a plus.

We place great importance on personal qualities such as being secure in your professional role, flexible, accustomed to working independently, and having good collaboration skills.

Other

We require a criminal record check for all individuals offered employment within the Psychiatry Services.
