The Mobile Emergency Unit is an on-call reception serving the northwestern municipalities in the Stockholm Region, available every day of the week from 08:00 to 22:00. The unit employs nurses, doctors, and nursing assistants with extensive experience in acute psychiatry. MAK is also responsible for psychiatric consultations at NKS and DS during daytime. The unit is part of Psychiatry Northwest and is located in historic premises at the Karolinska University Hospital in Solna.

Our workplace is characterized by short decision-making paths, flexibility, and high job satisfaction. Everyone working with us has extensive experience and good competence in the field. We help you get started in your work and strive for you to enjoy your job and your new colleagues. The introduction at the unit is tailored to the individual and helps you work independently and feel secure.

Two of our nurses are soon retiring, and therefore we are now looking for 2 specialist nurses to continue their excellent work.

Job Responsibilities:

Working as a nurse at the Mobile Emergency Unit (MAK) is a varied and exciting job. The core of our operations is the interaction with patients, both through phone contact and physical meetings. This primarily involves acute psychiatric care interventions such as psychiatric assessments, support, advice, and guidance with patients and relatives via phone, as well as home visits. You will also have your own outpatient visits focusing on evaluating the initiation of SSRIs and assessing suicide risk. With us, you will become an expert in interacting with patients with a varied psychiatric background.

As a nurse, you will have supervisory responsibility during on-call hours. Documentation is done in the Take Care journal system.

Employment Type:

Permanent. Work 2 weekends out of 5. Appointment will be made by agreement.

Qualifications:

Licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training in psychiatry. Experience in similar operations, psychiatric outpatient care, inpatient care, and acute psychiatry is advantageous. Since home visits are performed within the operational area, a driver's license is required.

Personal Attributes:

To work in an acute psychiatric setting, great flexibility, good teamwork skills, and the ability to prioritize care needs in an acute psychiatric phase are required. As a person, you have good self-awareness and are secure in yourself. You should be able to work independently while also collaborating well with other staff members and with healthcare neighbors and other actors around the patients. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Welcome with your application! The position will be filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
