Seasonal Cemetery Caretaker, 100%

seasonal employment from April 7 to November 7, 2025.

Your responsibilities

Maintenance, operation, and upkeep of cemeteries (mowing, pruning, and planting), properties, and churches. Maintenance and repairs of machinery. Work may occur throughout the parish.

Your background

• Knowledge and/or education in cemetery work, park, or gardening is an advantage.
• Driver's license B is required, and preferably BE. A personal vehicle is a prerequisite for the job.
• Computer skills, as grave books and certain communication and time reporting within the parish are handled electronically.

Your qualities

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has good physical fitness. You are flexible and can work both independently and in a team. You have initiative and good judgment. We seek someone with good collaboration skills and a service-oriented attitude. You have a pleasant demeanor and good social skills.

About Borensberg Parish

Borensberg Parish consists of the congregations of Aska, Borensberg, Fornåsa, Godegård, Klockrike, Tjällmo, and Västra Ny. Borensberg Parish manages 16 churches and cemeteries as well as other properties, including parish houses. The parish mainly consists of the countryside around Motala, and its largest locality is Borensberg, where the administration is centralized. The parish has about 12,200 inhabitants, of which 71.8% are church members. The organization, which consists of approximately 50 year-round employees, is led by the parish priest and the management group.

The cemetery and property unit currently consists of 10 year-round employees and 10 seasonal employees, with our cemetery manager being your immediate supervisor.

Work may occur throughout the parish.
