The company owns around 1750 trailers for freight transport as well as transshipment and logistics terminals and its own trucks.
 
About the Customs Specialist position
As a Customs Specialist at NTEX, you will contribute your expertise across the entire customs chain. Your tasks will include handling imports, exports, transit processes, and customer support, where you will interact with all markets, modes of transport, and all types of goods that NTEX manages. The role involves everything from daily routine customs tasks to complex cases that require collaboration with other departments. In your role, you are expected to find optimal solutions for customers, which may include performing invoice checks, declarations, transit of goods, and working in accordance with restrictions, laws, and regulations related to customs management.

Your expertise is expected to contribute to the development of the customs team. Additionally, you will act as a requirement setter related to rules and regulations. The work will also include contact with authorities, negotiations, and developing customs strategies.

You will be part of a growing team consisting of 6 employees with varying backgrounds and experiences to share. A majority of the team is located in Gothenburg, while the remaining employees are in Helsingborg and Märsta. In this position, you will work from NTEX's newly renovated airy office located in Arendal, where you have easy access to public transport.
 
Your main tasks:

• Manage customs processes within imports, exports, and transit.
• Meet customer needs in the form of customer support.
• Develop customs strategies and provide customs expertise to other employees and external contacts.

About you
We are looking for someone with at least a few years of experience in the customs field related to imports, exports, and transit processes. If you also have previous experience with customs warehouses or customs handling related to food products, it is advantageous. To succeed in this role, you need to be fluent in Swedish and English and have good computer skills as you will be working in several systems and programs simultaneously.
 
As a person, you are meticulous and detail-oriented in your work, which enables accurate interpretation of legal texts and regulations within customs administration. We are interested in someone who is curious and enjoys working flexibly and broadly. Your strong communication skills will come into play in customer conversations, where the ability to adapt your language and be responsive to customer needs is crucial. Within the team, we see you as a dedicated team player who always puts the team before yourself.
 
Important for the position:

• Work experience in customs processes, within imports, exports, and transit.
• Can contribute customs expertise and help develop the customs department and set customs strategies.
• You are meticulous, curious, communicative, and a team player.
• Good computer skills and fluent language skills in Swedish and English.
