Do you enjoy working in a structured manner and driving your commitments forward? Do you take responsibility for your tasks? Then apply for the position of bricklayer for refractory materials at the Masonry Workshop. Together with skilled colleagues during the day and shifts, you ensure that safety always comes first and that masonry and installations are carried out with high quality. Location: Oxelösund.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet's future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production, and by around 2030, we will be virtually fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thereby contributing to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
As a bricklayer within UH Refractory at the Masonry Workshop, you will be part of a team that serves departments throughout SSAB Oxelösund. You will focus on the customer's business and work closely with all production sections.
You will have varied tasks. The position includes masonry and casting of refractory installations, crane and forklift operation, and reading blueprints. You will report completed work, withdrawals from inventory, and more in our maintenance system IFS.
The working hours are during the day.
Your main responsibilities
- Work with both preventive and corrective maintenance of the refractory materials in our facilities.
- Provide feedback on completed work to technicians and generalists.
- Ensure that completed work meets the required quality.
About you
- You have a high school education or equivalent training in masonry/refractory.
- You are flexible, meticulous, and understand the importance of the group's collective effort.
- You prioritize safety for yourself and your colleagues.
- You are resilient under stress and can plan your days both independently and together with your colleagues.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
- Knowledge of IFS is an advantage.
- Forklift and crane licenses are advantageous.
