Your everyday life – contribute to Sweden's defense capability

In the role of planning engineer, you are responsible for translating our customers' facility requirements into functional instructions for the implementation of management where planning and follow-up are a natural part. You work to support and participate in planning activities towards the management organization. The role also includes working with maintenance preparation, as well as with education in the fortification area and handling development issues within the department for the fortification property portfolio. The work covers the whole country and includes business trips with overnight stays, which can be planned to a large extent.

Qualifications

The role requires several years of experience working with facilities and property management. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the Armed Forces' activities in facilities as well as preparedness systems and operational organization. You have an academic education at university or college in an area deemed relevant by us for the tasks. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent skills through work experience that we consider equivalent.

You have good knowledge of administrative IT support systems and you communicate and express yourself well both orally and in writing in Swedish. A driver's license of at least class B is a requirement.

It is advantageous to have good knowledge and experience of the Fortifications Agency's activities, fortification training, or officer training. It is also to your advantage if you have the ability to place facilities in an operational and tactical context.

You find it easy to build good relationships and act professionally in your everyday life as you have good cooperation and communication skills. You enjoy challenges and have the ability to see and understand holistic solutions from the perspective of the business. You are driven and have a high ability to work independently.

The position is a permanent employment. Location Eskilstuna or by agreement. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at the Fortifications Agency are classified for security.
