Summer Internship as a Reporter at Katrineholms-Kuriren

Katrineholms-Kuriren is the small newspaper with big opportunities. We are now looking for both general reporters and sports reporters for summer internships.

As a reporter at Katrineholms-Kuriren, you will be offered a stimulating work environment in the center of events, with the opportunity to develop in a range of different subject areas.

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to community development, an interest in local journalism, and a passion for telling stories that matter to people in their everyday lives.

With us, you will write editorial articles, take photos, film, and report live. You enjoy being the first to break news, finding the sharpest angle, and explaining what is happening and why – with the right tone in the right digital channel. You have a good ability to build relationships and create trust with both interview subjects and our readers. You will have a team of engaged, knowledgeable, and helpful colleagues to support you.

The internships may involve working hours during the day, evenings, and weekends.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is currently studying or has completed a journalism program or equivalent, or has relevant work experience (with knowledge of interview techniques, research, information gathering, source criticism).
• Has a good sense of language.
• Can convey and package news for the web.
• Has basic knowledge of photography and filming (with a mobile).
• Thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment where tasks may be reprioritized based on news situations.
• A driver's license (B) is required as driving is part of the job.
