RESPONSIBILITIES

As a building permit engineer, you will, among other things:

• Process applications for building permits, land permits, demolition permits, preliminary decisions, mandatory notifications, and exemptions from shore protection.
• Review drawings and documents according to the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and other relevant regulations.
• Conduct technical consultations, site visits, and final consultations.
• Provide advice, information, and service to individuals, businesses, and authorities.
• Work with supervision within the responsibilities of the building committee.
• Participate in the work with detailed planning processes.
• Contribute to the planning and development of our internal work processes.

The work is varied and spans a broad area. You will have significant personal responsibility and good opportunities to take initiative while always having the support of your colleagues.

As a building permit engineer, you will work closely with engaged and competent colleagues within the community building administration, such as planning architects, property engineers, and the water and sewage unit. The tasks vary depending on ongoing projects and incoming cases, providing a dynamic and developing everyday life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in architecture, civil engineering, or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.

If you have experience in processing building permits and building inspections within municipal operations, it is an advantage.

You possess good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act and associated regulations and building codes.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position, as well as good IT skills in relevant systems and tools for the role.
