JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a security coordinator. The position is a temporary replacement during a study leave.

As a security coordinator in Bräcke municipality, you will primarily work in areas such as crisis preparedness, civil defense, and security protection, but also with other security issues that need to be addressed.

Your responsibilities include collaboration with various actors within total defense, other municipalities, the county administrative board, and the business sector, which means that travel occurs, both within the municipality and the county but also to other parts of Sweden.

You will mainly work within a project to strengthen preparedness within municipal health care and social services. In addition, you will work under the legislation Act (2006:544) on municipalities' and regions' measures before and during extraordinary events in peacetime and heightened preparedness as well as the security protection act (2018:585). There may also be more targeted projects in the area of preparedness that you will be involved in and/or responsible for, some over a longer period and others of a faster nature.

In your assignment, you will work project-like and be the one who drives the work forward. You will primarily work operationally towards the municipality's activities by identifying the current situation and needs, developing proposals for measures, implementing measures, and evaluating completed work. You will also be involved in the development of various governing documents, conducting presentations and training initiatives, and exercises. You may also be part of the municipality's crisis management organization.

The execution of your tasks requires a high degree of presence at the workplace, but remote work may also be possible sometimes by agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

• Relevant university education, for example, sociology with a focus on risk and crisis management or political science with a focus on security policy and crisis preparedness or other equivalent education or experience that the employer deems relevant.
• Knowledge in crisis preparedness, civil defense, and security protection.
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Good computer skills.
• Driver's license (manual).
• Swedish citizenship (to be placed in a security class).

Meritorious

• You have worked with total defense, civil defense, war organization, continuity management, security protection, signal protection, and information security.
• Good knowledge of work within public administration and politically governed organizations.
• Good knowledge or experience in leading projects.
• Good knowledge or experience in gathering, structuring, and presenting information.
• Good knowledge of municipal health care and social services.

As a person, it is important that you can plan and carry out tasks independently and take your own initiative. It is also important that you find it easy to collaborate with others and work in a team when needed. You have a natural ability to create and maintain contacts with others. Having the ability to understand the conditions of different activities and to guide and support various target groups in a clear and trustworthy manner is an essential quality we are looking for. You are good at structuring and prioritizing and can work on several parallel assignments at the same time. It is important that you have a holistic view in your work and that you are responsible with a high security awareness.
