JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Åre Municipality is in an expansive phase to meet societal transformation, and we are now seeking reinforcement in crime prevention work and operational security. An exciting position that is placed directly under the security and preparedness manager, and the role is a central support within the entire municipal organization. You will be part of the team in the Security and Preparedness unit, which consists of 5 people working with preparedness, security, information security, and operational security.

You will work both strategically and operationally and will largely collaborate and coordinate with other colleagues in the organization as well as other authorities and actors. Coordinating actors, efforts, and conducting preventive work with information, guidance, and training is included. In the crime prevention work, you will collaborate with our social sustainability strategist and municipal police.

You will be responsible for leading our local crime prevention council (BRÅ) and other internal and external networks that include civil society and business. The area of work is broad and includes, for example, the development of mapping, situational reports, cause analyses, governing documents, decision support, consultation responses, permit applications, and communication to various target groups. You will also become the system manager for a mapping and analysis tool that we will implement.

In the work with operational security, you will act as an expert on issues ensuring that the organization meets legal requirements and standards, coordination, and monitoring compliance with relevant legal requirements and regulations, as well as analyses and risk assessments. In addition, you will support the operations with advice, development, and implementation of working methods and routines, as well as assist with training, contracts, and procurement within the framework of crime prevention and operational security.

Work outside regular working hours may occur occasionally, such as during citizen dialogues, lectures, and events, or if something serious happens.

QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant academic education in the field or other training/experience deemed equivalent.

You have experience in crime prevention and operational security and are a person who can create a holistic view combined with strategic thinking. You can balance operations and security, and because you have a good understanding of collaboration and coordination, you can develop trusting relationships internally and externally.

You have good analytical skills and can express yourself clearly and structured in both speech and writing.

Experience working in a politically governed organization is an advantage.

We see that you are accustomed to handling complex issues. The assignment requires the ability to independently drive development work and lead cross-organizational processes.
