JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for reinforcement for an experienced team at Tjörn's ice rink.

Tjörn's ice rink is not only an arena with ice and stands but also a growing facility of operational premises where expansion and renovation are set to be completed before the 2026/2027 season.

As a janitor and local host at Tjörn's ice rink, you will be responsible for the ice in the arena and the order in the premises during your work shift. You are important for the associations' opportunities for a safe and secure operation in the premises.

Daily tasks include ice and machine maintenance, supervision, daily planning, and cleaning. The assignment is primarily scheduled for evenings and weekends. The work is in a cold environment and is physically demanding.

As a part-time employee, you support or replace regular staff as needed, and it can also be scheduled. The number of hours varies each month and greatly throughout the year. This part-time position may primarily suit you if you work part-time, have flexible working hours, perhaps run your own business, or study.

The position belongs to the Leisure Department within the Culture and Leisure Administration.

The workplace is primarily Tjörn's ice rink.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are an engaged, self-driven, and service-oriented person who has experience working with and close to people, preferably with experience from associations.

You should have basic technical knowledge and/or interest.

As a person, you are responsible and have a positive attitude. You should have the desire and good ability to learn new things, both practically and theoretically, and be comfortable working independently according to instructions and routines. Working alone is common.

Seasons and conditions may vary, requiring flexibility and initiative.

You must have a B driver's license, good Swedish in speech and writing, and be familiar with computers/IT.

If you have experience with machinery/vehicles and/or property maintenance, it is an advantage.

Great consideration will be given to personal suitability.

You will receive internal training in the specific tasks required.

Before you are employed in work close to children and young people, a valid extract from the police criminal record is required, which you will order yourself.
