Meal Service is part of the community building sector and has 21 preparation and reception kitchens.

We are now looking for a chef for a position where you will have the opportunity to work with preschool children, school students, and elderly care.

We offer you a full-time position where working hours are mainly during the day, but weekend work may also occur.

Your future tasks

In Finspång municipality, Meal Service strives for sustainable work by reducing food waste, using organic food, Swedish food, and locally produced seasonal ingredients.

As a chef in one of Meal Service's kitchens, you will help create good habits among our guests by offering modern, tasty, varied, and nutritious food.

The role also involves

The work involves variation and challenges. As a chef, you work independently and manage cooking based on given frameworks and recipes. Other tasks include preparing raw food, serving in the dining room, dishwashing, self-control, orders, of course, according to the unit's guidelines.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• has a culinary education
• has practical experience from working in large kitchens with food preparation including special diets
• is responsible and flexible
• is solution-oriented
• has a B driver's license
• experience with texture-adapted diets for elderly care is an advantage

We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position.

You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language and be computer literate as many contacts are handled via phone and email and several tasks are performed digitally.
