ABOUT THE JOB

Do you want to lead an operation with an important societal mission and contribute to safe and quality care for the residents of Lycksele? We are now looking for an engaged and clear unit manager for Support, Care, and Welfare.

In Lycksele municipality, we strive to offer quality service to our residents. Care and welfare work takes place in various group homes, nursing homes, in the user's own home, or in special housing. Within the area of Support, Care, and Welfare, we have about 400 employees distributed across 15 units working together to ensure good care and support.

As a unit manager, you will play a central role in leading, developing, and ensuring quality in your operation. You will be responsible for personnel, work environment, and budget, and you will work closely with both employees and fellow managers. You have a clear mandate to drive the operation forward and make decisions based on what you assess is best for employees, users, and relatives.

You will also be part of the management team of the operational area, where you, together with other managers, drive strategic issues and development work to enhance quality and meet future needs in care.

With us, you will be offered a meaningful and developing leadership role where you have significant influence over the development and working methods of the operation. The job may involve some work outside of office hours depending on the needs of the operation.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who wants to drive and develop an operation with a significant societal mission. You have a relevant university degree or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer, as well as experience working in a politically governed organization. Previous managerial experience is considered an asset. Good knowledge of legislation in the area, such as SoL and HSL, is also an advantage. Familiarity with digital work and a valid driver's license (B) are required for the position.

As a leader, you are clear, present, and good at creating job satisfaction. You utilize employees' competencies and work in a structured manner, even in change. Experience in project or change management is advantageous as care is in constant development.

The assignment involves close collaboration with internal and external partners, so you also need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships, and establish trust.
