Are you passionate about driving seamless connectivity across complex enterprise landscapes? Join us as an Integration Lead and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital transformation. This is your opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where collaboration and innovation come together to deliver impactful solutions. Location: Helsinki.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is essential for the sustainability of this planet. Steel has been one of the most important materials for developing our society and it will continue to be so. In the roofs over our heads, in the bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB we are proud of our history and leadership in high-strength steel. But we are also aware that the production of steel is one of the largest emitters of greenhouse gases in the world. That has to change. That is why we have developed the world’s first fossil-free steel production and have committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB you will be instrumental in realizing this goal and push for the green transformation of the whole steel industry.

About the position

As Integration Lead, you will guide integration workstreams across multiple projects and ensure coherence between ERP implementation initiatives, SSAB Group IT, and external technical partners. You will work closely with project managers, vendors’ delivery leads, and integration team leads. You will also be supported by program management, enterprise architects, integration architects, and solution architects.

Your work spans integration solutions planning, functional and technical design, risk management, compliance enforcement, and overall delivery oversight. You will coordinate internal and external teams, facilitate workshops and meetings, and ensure that stakeholders remain informed and engaged throughout the integration lifecycle.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead integration workstreams across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate end-to-end integration testing (SIT, UAT, performance testing) and validate data flows and business transactions.
  • Ensure smooth handover from project delivery to continuous services and service integrators.
  • Define and maintain end-to-end integration architecture for SAP S/4HANA, Manufacturing Operations Management and connected 3rd-party systems.
  • Lead functional and technical design of interfaces between ERP platforms and surrounding systems, including documenting and rationalizing existing interfaces.
  • Ensure alignment with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management), and enterprise integration principles.
  • Plan and govern integration solutions by managing risks, enforcing architectural and security standards, and reviewing interface design documents (IDDs) and functional specifications for accuracy and compliance.

About You

  • Advanced understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration technologies (e.g. CPI, PI/PO, API Management, IDocs, OData, ALE) and 3rd-party integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, EDI, SFTP, event streaming).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise integration tools in general (e.g., Azure, SAP, MuleSoft).
  • Proven experience in large-scale ERP transformation or integration programs, preferably using SAP Activate methodology.
  • Strong coordination skills to manage multiple vendors and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Well-developed leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Professional English language skills, written and spoken. Fluency in Finnish and/or Swedish is a plus.
