The City Service Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in Mölndal municipality. The administration has about 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and local care, water and recycling, city maintenance, and support and customer service.

Together with your 140 colleagues in 70 kitchens in the meal and local care unit, we create the best possible meal every day by putting the guest in focus and being attentive in our dialogue with our customers. Our goal is to prepare meals as close to the guest as possible.

At Toltorpsskolan, we offer a chef position in a production kitchen where you will work alongside 2 colleagues. The school has 285 students from preschool to grade 5.

We serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily in the dining hall to students and educators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged chef who is eager to take on new challenges.

The meal is an important part of the operation where you, as a chef, play a significant role.

Your work will involve planning and preparing nutritious, safe, and delicious meals of high quality. You need to have good knowledge of food allergies and be comfortable handling special diets. An important and prioritized goal for us at Meal Mölndal is to work with organic raw material purchases and to reduce our food waste.

Mölndal has many production kitchens and focuses on cooking from scratch, and bread baking is part of the daily work. As a chef in Mölndal municipality, you will also have the opportunity to participate in various networks.

In addition to meal preparation, your responsibilities will include:

• Handling purchases via Proceedo, which is the city's ordering program
• Financially monitoring purchases
• Following the self-control program
• Developing collaboration with our customers
• Being creative and exceeding the expectations of our guests
• Using digital tools for various types of follow-up

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a chef's education and at least 3 years of documented experience. You need to have knowledge of self-control, food hygiene, and special diets. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form and have good computer skills, including knowledge of the Office package.

We believe that you, as an applicant, have a burning interest in cooking good food and want to develop within the profession. As a person, you are creative and interested in the students' thoughts about food. You take responsibility, are meticulous and structured in your work. Having good collaboration skills with colleagues, customers, and students at the school is essential for the operation.
