Your new workplace:

We need more physiotherapists and are therefore looking for you who want to be part of our unit.

We are a stable organization with 25 physiotherapist colleagues, which provides good opportunities for collegial support. With us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction, and we apply mentorship to give you the best conditions to step into the role of physiotherapist.

Many of us have worked here for a long time, and we describe our work climate as open, supportive, and safe. As a new colleague, you are encouraged to ask questions. Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation assistants together form Sundsvall Municipality Rehab. We all work in our beautiful premises in Nacksta, which creates good conditions for close experience exchange and helps strengthen each other and our competencies. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists complement each other in geographical teams, where collaboration in interdisciplinary teams is a central part of the work.

Sundsvall Municipality also has a MAR and an assistive technology coordinator as operational support.

How you contribute in the role of physiotherapist:

As a physiotherapist with us, you work both in the patient's own home, in special accommodations, and in social psychiatric accommodations. The work is varied, and you prioritize and organize your workday independently and together with colleagues based on the cases you are responsible for.

We have close interdisciplinary collaboration with occupational therapists, nurses, rehabilitation assistants, care staff, and unit managers. You participate in regular team meetings where the needs of care and support recipients are at the center.

In your role, you conduct functional assessments and work to preserve, develop, and strengthen the physical functions of care and support recipients through specific training and everyday rehabilitation in the home environment. You also work with preservation and compensatory measures and assess the need for and prescribe personal assistive devices.

Guidance, advice, support, and instructions to care and support recipients, relatives, and care staff are a central part of the work.

Your skills and experience:

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and have a genuine interest in elderly care. You should be able to communicate well in spoken and written Swedish. As a person, you are responsible, confident in structuring and planning your work, and used to making your own decisions within the framework of your assignment.

You find it easy to collaborate and see the value of good cooperation with others. We place great importance on personal suitability.

The work involves driving, and you need to have a B driver's license for manual transmission.
