Kinds pastorate includes the municipalities of Tranemo and Svenljunga and consists of seven parishes, with approximately 80 employees.

Tranans Café and Second Hand is a well-visited operation in the Tranemo parish, Kinds pastorate. The café is centrally located in the main town of Tranemo in Tranemo municipality. Tranans Café and Second Hand aims to be a pleasant meeting place where everyone feels welcome. We meet each other, both guests and employees, in a respectful and caring manner. Guests at Tranan should feel seen when they visit the operation. The café is run with the help of volunteers, interns, and those who are in work training. There are two employees, a manager and a café hostess.

The task of diakonia is to defend everyone's equal human value and to help people maintain their own dignity in times of stress. Everyone needs, and is meant for, different types of tasks as well as to belong to a context and to be allowed to contribute to that context. This way, people can gain a new belief in their ability and unique value. This is what we want to permeate the operation at Tranans Café and Second Hand.

There is no requirement to be church-active to become an employee; whether voluntary or as an intern. Tranan is a church-related operation, and it is expected that one accepts and respects the church's foundation. All employees and visitors are different and should be allowed to be so.

Job Responsibilities

You are responsible for the work done around the café. The tasks involve baking, sandwich preparation, purchasing, planning, cleaning, and organization. You will also guide volunteers, interns, and employees in work training in the tasks related to the café's operations.

Qualifications

You have relevant education in restaurant/food programs or equivalent training with experience in food preparation and serving. Self-control and food hygiene are also tasks that are advantageous if you have prior experience in.

Conditions

You have a B driver's license for a car and have access to your own vehicle.
