Avarn Security is looking for a Weapon Instructor!

Avarn Security has been tasked with delivering personnel security services to the Saab Group in Sweden and abroad. The delivery is a significant part of a coordinated security service with Avarn Security's monitoring and technology organization.

The coordinated security delivery is one of Sweden's most complex, dynamic, and visible assignments with nationwide customer responsibility for the group.

We are looking for:

An experienced and responsible person who can hold the role of weapon instructor at Avarn. The role requires extensive knowledge of security procedures, laws, and pedagogical skills. The role is a combined role as a weapon instructor and security guard.

Responsibilities:

Train participants in handling firearms according to police regulations and Avarn's policies and procedures. Your responsibility is to manage the entire chain from conducting assessment interviews with candidates, planning training sessions, handling administration, and training area employees according to the annual cycle. You are responsible for the annual cycle and planning in your locations. You may also be required to assist at other locations.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an engaged and inspiring instructor who preferably has experience working in security-sensitive operations. You are a confident leader with a positive view of people and the ability to build trust. In this role, it is important that you communicate clearly, are attentive, and have good collaboration skills. You work in a structured manner and ensure to involve employees in the process to create participation and security. We value qualities such as the ability to develop and support employees and contribute to a good working environment. You are characterized by openness, responsibility, and a willingness to collaborate with other instructors, operations management, and managers.

Basic requirements:

• At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
• Driving license B

You must also be unpunished*, drug-free, have an orderly economy, and good health and fitness to be employed by Avarn Security.

Meritorious:

• Security guard training and/or security guard training
• Authorized weapon instructor for the security industry
• Trained weapon instructor with the police authority or armed forces
• 15 credits in Law
• Good knowledge of the Office suite
• Documented leadership skills

If you have the right profile for Avarn and you proceed in the process but do not already have the required training, we will cover your training! Security guard training is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Professional and Work Environment Committee. Weapon instructor training is conducted at the Police Authority. Participation in these is a prerequisite for employment.
