About the role

Do you want to contribute to fossil freedom at VB Elnät?

In this role, which is within Tariff & Market , you will play a key role in the energy system of the future. You will be the one who translates regulations, customer needs, and market trends into fair and sustainable tariff models while driving the development and management of flexibility markets. Here you will combine technical expertise with business acumen and help shape how electrification and the green transition take place in the electricity grid for the benefit of customers, businesses, and society.

The role reports to the Department Manager Customer & Market and involves close collaboration with colleagues in the department. The collaboration is particularly close with the other technical customer responsibility role focused on Connection Requests. You will also have close dialogue with the operations department, network analysis, and other functions within the group. Externally, the most important contacts are Västerbergslagen's Elnät corporate customers, industry organizations, authorities, and other major stakeholders related to tariff and market development. The role contributes to the team’s goals by combining technical understanding with business acumen and strengthening VB Elnät's role in the green transition.

Your responsibilities

• Build and develop relationships with our customers and be their extended arm into our organization while being an ambassador for Västerbergslagen's Elnät externally.
• Be responsible for the progress and coordination of larger customer matters, which involves problem-solving in various phases as well as follow-up and proactive dialogue.
• Be responsible for customer meetings, contract writing, and thorough documentation.

Requirements

• Relevant post-secondary education, e.g., a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, energy, electrical engineering, industrial economics, or another academic education (e.g., law or economics) combined with experience from the electricity network industry.
• Experience from electrical power/electricity network operations or related energy sector.
• Good system familiarity, especially within business and customer systems, as well as an understanding of IT support related to electricity network operations (e.g., network information systems (NIS), case management, or billing systems).
• Very good skills in Excel and experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• A valid driver's license (B) is required.

It is meritorious to have:

• Knowledge of electricity network regulation, tariffs, pricing, and revenue frameworks.
• Experience in driving complex cases/projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with flexibility markets, new business models, and larger customer connections.
• Understanding of contract law and awareness of electrification and new customer types.
• Further education in electricity markets, project management, business law, or data analysis.
• Experience with regional network connections or larger industrial/production customers.
• Knowledge of electrification, renewable production, and new customer types (e.g., data centers, hydrogen, charging infrastructure).
• Further education or courses in electricity network regulation, tariffs, pricing models, or electricity markets.

You have a knack for seeing the big picture and explaining complex issues in a clear and trust-building manner, which allows you to build long-term relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. You adapt your communication to the audience and work commercially with a focus on customer benefit, profitability, and regulatory compliance. With an eye for future opportunities, you are driven to find solutions and improvements that make a real difference.
