Construction Manager at Lindab Byggpartner

Are you passionate about leading people and developing technology that makes a real difference? Do you have construction experience and want to help elevate an already skilled design team to the next level? Then this could be your next challenge!

About Lindab

We are a leading player in the manufacturing and sales of system solutions and building components for the construction industry. For over 60 years, we have worked towards simplified and sustainable construction. Our origins live on today as we provide the market with a wide range of products made of steel. Lindab Byggpartner is Sweden's leading project supplier of Swedish-made building products based on thin sheet metal and complete steel halls. We have production in Piteå and are represented with sales offices across the country - from Malmö in the south to Luleå in the north.

About the position

As a construction manager at Lindab Byggpartner, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of about 10 designers, located in Halmstad and Luleå. You will work from one of these offices and visit the other office approximately two days per month.

The role is strategically important for our continued development. As our current construction manager is retiring this summer, there are good opportunities for a valuable handover. Designing with thin sheet metal is a specialty within steel construction where knowledge largely resides within the companies that manufacture thin sheet metal products. At Lindab Byggpartner, we have developed our own certification program for designers focusing on thin sheet metal constructions. We also develop our own dimensioning programs, which require solid theoretical knowledge in building statics, Eurocodes, and programming. You will be involved in the development of both the certification program and the dimensioning programs. Here, you will truly have the opportunity to influence, develop, and set the direction forward.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will be overall responsible for driving, developing, and ensuring the quality of our design work. You will, among other things:

  • Lead, coach, and resource plan the department's design assignments
  • Drive improvement work and develop working methods and design tools
  • Support project sellers with technical solutions in bidding and quotation work
  • Develop and influence our dimensioning programs
  • Conduct technical and product training for both designers and sellers
  • Be part of the company's management team
  • Be responsible for the work environment within your area

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in building design and preferably with a civil engineering degree in Road and Water or equivalent. You must also have an interest in leading and developing employees. You express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, and have good system skills. We use AutoCad and Revit as design tools, which we expect you to be proficient in.

Your personal qualities

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Lead with clarity, presence, and engagement
  • Inspire others by being down-to-earth, attentive, and unpretentious
  • Are structured, analytical, and confident in making decisions
  • Are driven by creating order, quality, and long-term sustainability
  • Build strong relationships – both internally and externally

You work methodically and are skilled at following up on goals and development within the team. With constructive feedback and a coaching approach, you show the way forward.

Our offer

We offer you a role in a market-leading company with good working conditions, excellent development opportunities, where you also contribute to combating global climate change. You will be part of a values-driven company with a corporate culture characterized by commitment, humility, and order. We are a workplace characterized by care and sustainability, where we together create an environment to be proud of.
