The Role of Project Manager with Us

As a project manager with us, you will be responsible for driving infrastructure projects from start to finish – from early ordering and planning, through procurement and construction, to handover for operations and management. Initially, the position will focus on our mission to complete and close parts of the municipality's old landfills.

You will have a coordinating role with many points of contact, both internally and externally – with consultants, contractors, clients, colleagues within Technical, and other departments in the municipality. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project's finances, timelines, and quality are monitored in a structured manner and will also handle other project administration.

Your Profile

You are a structured person with a good ability to independently plan and organize your work. You are curious about the technical field and collaborate well with others, while also being willing to share your knowledge. For you, it is natural to take responsibility in both good and challenging times, maintain a professional attitude, take initiatives, and handle complex situations.

You want to contribute to society with your expertise and develop together with us. You are perceived as unpretentious and skilled at creating good collaborations, and you naturally operate within our workplace culture characterized by welcoming, collaborating, delivering, and innovating.

In your daily work, you need to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Personal suitability will be given great importance – we believe that it is the person behind the experiences that makes the real difference.

We are looking for someone who:

• has a civil or higher engineering degree or other relevant education according to the employer
• has experience working in infrastructure such as water supply, roads, traffic, and/or other infrastructure
• has qualified work experience in contract law and AMA construction
• holds a B driver's license

It is an advantage if:

• you have experience working on infrastructure projects in a role as a project manager, consultant, construction manager, site manager, or supervisor

In the project management unit, 15 employees work as project managers and designers to realize projects within water supply, traffic, outdoor environments, broadband, and landfills. The unit is part of the Project & Construction operation where we have close cooperation with the construction management unit. We value good relationships and a balance between work and leisure.

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement.
