Temporary Position at the Åland Environmental and Health Protection Agency

The Åland Environmental and Health Protection Agency is announcing a temporary position for six months, with a possibility of extension. The position serves as a project employment to investigate and map future supervision of primary production in Åland. The project is expected to show what resource needs a regular supervision of primary production would entail. An extension of the position may involve other types of tasks, such as supervision under food or alcohol legislation.

You will work independently but in contact with a group of inspectors, each responsible for their own area of work and supervision objects. Collaboration skills, flexibility, and good communication are of utmost importance as we value helping each other, maintaining a good atmosphere, and a positive work environment.

The project requires a good ability to understand legal texts, especially regarding food hygiene at local, national, and EU levels. The agency handles its cases according to the Administrative Procedure Act and registers the process in our case management system EDP Vision, and you will work in that system after on-site training. Good computer skills are a prerequisite for succeeding in this role.

Experience as an inspector and knowledge of relevant legislation for the position, relevant experience in the food sector, and experience within the ÅMHM's administrative area are advantageous.
