Due to high demand, we now need to hire another colleague. We are looking for someone with solid and broad experience as an environmental inspector. We are seeking someone who is looking for new challenges, is efficient, responsive, flexible, achieves good results, and wants to promote people's health and contribute to a sustainable environment within Sweden's municipalities.

Job Responsibilities

We believe in you and your abilities, which is why we give you great freedom in your role. As a consultant in the environmental field, you will have a varied and developing job where you work independently with significant responsibility for driving your cases. You will plan and conduct inspections under the Environmental Code at the client's site in a legally secure manner, ensuring compliance with environmental and health protection regulations. You will also handle various types of environmental protection and health protection activities. In addition, you will provide advice and guidance to both entrepreneurs and municipal residents. The position gives you the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable environment and promote people's health in a meaningful way.

The work as a consultant at Public People is typically performed for 3-6 months with one client at a time. We operate nationwide, which means assignments are not always in close proximity to your home. The ambition is always to assign our consultants to projects as close to their home as possible, but the work may also involve longer travel and sometimes overnight stays in connection with assignments. 

Qualifications

• University degree as an environmental and health protection inspector or equivalent
• Several years of experience working as an environmental inspector in public operations with a focus on wastewater
• Good knowledge of the Environmental Code and administrative law
• Experience working with inspections under the Environmental Code
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, where you can express yourself well in both speech and writing
• Requirement for a B driver's license

To succeed in the role, you are attentive to your surroundings and professional in your approach, and you enjoy working as an authority representative. You are open and flexible to the client's needs and wishes and see opportunities in changes, and you thrive in working on various assignments and municipalities that involve different working methods and systems, etc. You have a good ability to communicate and collaborate with others. You take initiative and come up with new approaches to work-related issues, taking responsibility and driving your work forward while delivering results. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
