We are looking for someone who wants to work as a consultant with bat expertise. You will strengthen our bat team with colleagues from various offices, working on inventories, sound analyses, and interpretations of results concerning bats, primarily within community building as well as infrastructure and energy projects. You will belong to a consulting group with expertise in areas such as natural values in forest and agricultural landscapes, the ecology of different species groups, species protection legislation, and planning and permitting processes.

The job primarily involves working on client assignments that relate to bats in various ways, including inventories and desk studies. Our most common inventory assignments include both the deployment of sound boxes and manual inventories. The desk studies may involve various types of investigations related to lighting. The job as an environmental consultant also involves continuous work to create and build good customer relationships and actively work towards high customer satisfaction.

Your tasks will include being responsible for all aspects of current bat assignments, from sales to implementation. You will work on both fieldwork, sound analyses, assessments, report writing, and report review. You will also act as a sounding board for colleagues on species protection issues related to bats. The role also includes being a mentor for less experienced colleagues and training colleagues who will work more with bats. Depending on your competence profile, other types of tasks may also be included in the position (for example, species protection investigations).

For some of our assignments, you will be the project leader, which includes communication with the client as well as planning, administration, finance, and follow-up according to our internal project management routines. In larger projects, this also involves leading a project group consisting of your colleagues.

Our work is usually carried out in project groups with colleagues and sometimes also together with our close partners or with the client. We work according to updated methods, based on the best-known knowledge, and in an engaged and friendly collaborative climate. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to work on a project basis and enjoys a mix of fieldwork and office work. We assume that you have a foundation in the form of appropriate education and have extensive experience working with bat issues. You are driven by taking responsibility for the entirety of an assignment and motivated to mentor and develop less experienced colleagues.

It is required that you:

• have at least 2 years of professional experience working with bat issues, such as experience in field inventories of bats, species identification via sound analysis, and various types of ecological assessments
• have at least 1 year of experience working as a project manager or assignment leader
• have a university degree in biology, environmental science, or a corresponding relevant field
• have experience coaching and training colleagues
• have good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• have a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you:

• have professional experience from consulting
• have knowledge of more species groups or inventory methods, such as amphibians, birds, or NVI (natural value inventory)
• have experience working with the application of species protection legislation
• have a broad and active network of contacts in the industry, within sectors relevant to Calluna's operations.
