Psychiatry

The health and medical care administration's area of operation in psychiatry consists of psychiatric inpatient care, adult psychiatric outpatient care, addiction care, and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Approximately 160 employees work within psychiatry. Our mission is to provide psychiatric specialist care to adults and to provide care for mental health issues to all children and adolescents up to 17 years of age.

The operation should offer a breadth in both competence and services, and we work according to a person-centered value base, which is expressed in both patient meetings and in meetings between employees and leaders. We follow the nationally developed knowledge supports within mental health and work with the implementation of person-centered and cohesive care pathways as well as psychiatry's own care process maps.

We are currently in a phase where the emergency preparedness work within the operation is being built up to fully meet the requirements placed on healthcare in laws, regulations, and statutes. Therefore, we are looking for an engaged emergency coordinator. Do you want to help develop the emergency preparedness work and newly established crisis support in psychiatry?

Your Responsibilities

The position of emergency coordinator is new for the psychiatry area of operation. You will work on behalf of the area manager and report directly to them while being part of the management team.

Within Region Gotland, a new crisis support has been established, psychological/psychiatric disaster management (PKL), which is responsible for providing psychological support to those affected, relatives, and employees during serious events or crises in Gotland. As an emergency coordinator, you will have a coordinating role for the crisis support regarding training, exercises, and development.

The position also includes the following tasks:

  • Participate in the planning and execution of exercises within the emergency preparedness area. The role includes being a local exercise leader for the psychiatry area of operation.
  • Be part of relevant networks.
  • Have a role in local special healthcare management or PKL staff based on personal suitability.
  • Stay updated on current laws and regulations in the area.
  • Depending on the time required for the above tasks, the assignment may periodically be supplemented with development tasks in other areas.

Who are you?

You have experience of the organization of health and medical care and public operations.

You have experience working with issues related to emergency preparedness and crisis support work.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of or experience in any of the following areas:

  • Disaster medical preparedness
  • Staff work
  • Exercise leadership

To succeed in the role of emergency coordinator, it is important that you are driven, positive, innovative, and have good collaboration skills.
