About the Job

Seriefrämjandet is a non-profit association and center that works to spread knowledge about the uniqueness of comic art and strengthen the comic culture in Sweden. Through the cultural magazine Bild & Bubbla, festivals, exhibitions, and international collaborations, we promote comics as an art form.

We are in a development phase where we are moving to new premises and entering a new phase in our operations. We are now looking for a project manager who thrives in a creative and idea-driven environment – and who wants to help develop our activities together with an engaged team.

Job Responsibilities

As a project manager, you will be responsible for driving projects from idea to execution. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and partners. The role includes coordinating people and perspectives, creating structure, and ensuring that the whole works – even when a lot is happening at the same time.

You will:

• plan, implement, and follow up on cultural projects
• maintain contact with partners and external actors
• work with budgets, reporting, and follow-up
• contribute to developing the association's activities and routines
• collaborate closely with the operations manager and others in the team

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience leading projects in the cultural or association sector, preferably in comics
• is structured, solution-oriented, and used to working independently
• is a confident and engaged person who contributes to a positive and trusting work environment
• has a good ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and attentively
• enjoys creating order and keeping the whole together even in a dynamic environment

You are proactive, flexible, and enjoy being part of an idea-driven organization in motion. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, collaboration skills, and the willingness to contribute to a creative and sustainable work culture.

Employment Type

Fixed-term employment for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Scope: 60–100% (can be discussed).

Placement in Malmö.
