Vehicle Technician at Gamla Uppsala Buss

We are facing a generational shift and are now looking for a senior vehicle technician for our state-of-the-art depot with a workshop in Fyrislund. At Gamla Uppsala Buss, you will be part of a community where we care about each other. We want you to feel good and secure with us.

What does the job entail?

As a vehicle technician with us, you will:

• Service and repair our buses
• Troubleshoot when something is not working as it should
• Work independently and take responsibility
• Continuously develop with new technology

Our operations run almost around the clock, and some inconvenient working hours may be applicable by agreement.

Who are we looking for?

You do not need to have experience with heavy vehicles – we also highly value backgrounds as passenger car mechanics or service technicians.

Requirements:

• Vehicle technical education from high school or equivalent competence
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license B
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Experience with heavy vehicles

Gamla Uppsala Buss (GUB) is one of Sweden's largest publicly owned bus companies and is owned by Region Uppsala. We are environmentally certified according to ISO 14001:2019 and primarily conduct city bus traffic in Uppsala, as well as patient transport, stop service, and rental of mobile preschool buses.

We have about 580 employees, and our technical department manages over 200 vehicles in our own workshop, body and paint shop, and service hall. We have 25 people in the workshop.
