Your role
Eiraskolan is looking for an engaged chef for our school restaurant.
Do you want to contribute to a good, nutritious, and sustainable dining experience for our students? We are now looking for a driven and service-oriented chef who wants to be part of our kitchen team at Eiraskolan.
About the position
As a chef with us, you, along with colleagues in the school restaurant, are responsible for the daily preparation of lunch and snacks for the school's students. In addition, we also prepare lunch that is delivered to other schools. The role also includes menu planning, handling special diets, orders, and receiving deliveries. You ensure high hygiene standards in the kitchen, are responsible for dishwashing, self-control, and stock management.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in food, who is a trained chef and has experience from large kitchens or similar operations. You have a holistic view and contribute to a pleasant and well-functioning dining environment. You enjoy collaborating with the school's staff and see school meals as an important part of students' well-being and learning.
We value that the food is good, appealing, nutritious, and modern. You share our commitment to reducing food waste, increasing the proportion of organic ingredients, and enhancing the school meal experience. We actively work on developing vegetarian dishes and want these to also be of high quality and appreciated by both students and staff.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone with a high school restaurant or food education, or equivalent, as well as 3–4 years of experience from large kitchens or restaurants. You are accustomed to working digitally.
You want to be a driving force in our initiative for sustainable school meals. You will actively work on developing our vegetarian offerings and contribute to creating flavorful, climate-smart, and sustainable meals for our students. With your commitment and creativity, you will help drive meal development forward in line with the city's goals.
You are structured, stress-resistant, and collaborate well. You have a strong work ethic and treat both colleagues and guests professionally. You express yourself well in speech and writing.
The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thus counteracting discrimination.
