We are looking for one or more animal welfare officers, with the position(s) placed in the Veterinary Unit where we have about 20 employees. A large part of the unit's activities involves animal welfare inspections.
Job Responsibilities
We offer a stimulating and varied job where you will mainly work with animal welfare inspections on farm animals. Within animal welfare inspections, you will work with routine inspections, complaint inspections, and follow-ups of previously identified deficiencies. You will normally conduct inspections on farms as the sole case officer. You are responsible for the entire case management process, including inspections, preparing inspection reports, registration, orders, and any other decisions. You may also perform inspections related to feed and food in primary production, inspections of companion animals, respond to public inquiries, and receive reports on the unit's contact phone for animal welfare. You will be part of a workgroup and have close collaboration with about 13 people.

We prefer that you have experience with livestock by having worked on a farm, been an advisor, worked as an animal welfare inspector, or similar. This position requires good computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. The job involves travel, and therefore a B driver's license is required.
We place great importance on your personal abilities and your ability to contribute to a good work environment. You need to have personal maturity, be self-assured, and be able to distinguish between personal matters and official duties. It is also important that you are service-oriented and accommodating while being a strong person who can set the necessary demands to achieve good animal husbandry within the framework of the legislation. We value empathetic abilities and the ability to understand someone else's perspective. You are self-driven and can coordinate your work independently. You take responsibility for your tasks, plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. Meeting deadlines is a given, as is a flexible working approach where reworking does not pose a hindrance. We also appreciate your interest in driving development and actively working on efficiency.
