Field Technician at Geomatikk - Night Shift

Your Responsibilities

As a field technician at Geomatikk, you will have an independent and responsible job in the field, where you use modern technology to protect society's buried infrastructure.

Your mission: Protect buried infrastructure! Every day, ground works are taking place all over Sweden - and every day, important cables for electricity, fiber, and water risk being damaged. Damages that can have serious consequences for societal functions, businesses, and critical services. Geomatikk works to protect this vital infrastructure that keeps society functioning.

As a field technician at Geomatikk, you play an important role in preventing these disruptions, both along the railway, roads, and other places where ground works are carried out. Using modern measuring instruments, you will locate and mark exactly where the buried cables are - so that ground works can be performed safely without damaging the infrastructure.

The role involves a lot of personal responsibility and plenty of fresh air! You will spend your workday outdoors with your car as your mobile office. Your days vary, but what is common is that you move between different locations and contribute with your expertise and safety mindset. It is therefore important that you are service-oriented, clear in your communication, and enjoy taking personal responsibility.

You will:

• Locate, mark, and measure cables with advanced measuring technology both along the railway, roads, and other places where ground works are carried out
• Prevent cable damages
• Have contact with customers and contractors in the field

Your Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone with experience from working in a railway environment and a good understanding of the safety requirements that apply. To be considered, you should have:

• Previous experience working in the field in a railway environment, such as track work, technical maintenance, or safety-related tasks.
• Knowledge of railway safety and regulations regarding track work
• Education and experience as SoS leader, SoS planner, or TSM
• Technical aptitude and ability to read maps and technical documentation
• Good orientation skills and a strong safety mindset
• Service-oriented thinking and good, clear communication skills
• Driving license B and high school education or equivalent
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience in railway maintenance or construction work
• English language skills

Scope: Full-time

As Geomatikk's clients conduct security-sensitive operations, you will need to undergo a security clearance process. This includes a background check and a special interview, which will be conducted in connection with or after your job interview. You must give your consent for us to carry out the clearance. Employment can only occur after the security clearance has been completed and approved.

The position also requires you to undergo a health check, according to client requirements and the tasks involved. Employment can only occur if both the security clearance and health check are approved.
