Jakobsbergsgeriatriken has an acute geriatric mission and receives elderly, frail, and multi-ill patients from acute hospitals, directly from home or ambulance, as well as referrals from general practitioners.

There are five care departments, two of which focus on stroke and cognitive medicine respectively. With us, you can broaden your knowledge in several medical areas together with knowledgeable and dedicated colleagues. The organization also has a team for enhanced discharge and a cognitive reception.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan rehabilitation together with the patient, the team, and relatives. Your work includes assessments, training of physical functions, testing and prescribing aids. In daily work, our physiotherapists support staff regarding correct transfer techniques, educate in rehabilitative approaches, and how to use various types of aids.

Supervision of physiotherapy students occurs in the organization. We can proudly say that several of our students return to us as summer assistants during the later part of their education and thereafter as licensed colleagues.

The position includes some weekend work a few times a year, which allows for free weekdays. A probationary period may be applied.

Qualifications Required:

• Licensed physiotherapist

Meritorious:

• Previous work experience in geriatric or somatic inpatient care.

You have a genuine interest in the geriatric patient. You prioritize patient safety and work environment by contributing with good communication and collaboration skills, flexibility, and professional demeanor. You are unpretentious and are happy to share your knowledge and ideas. We place great importance on personal suitability.

• in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
