Our emergency care unit at the geriatric clinic (GAVA) has 18 care places where we work with the multi-ill elderly based on a person-centered approach in the direct emergency flow with direct admission every day of the week. The varying disease picture of our patient group provides in-depth knowledge for you to take with you after your summer internship with us! We work in teams and value professional knowledge as well as collaboration among different professions.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant or care assistant. If you are studying to become a nurse or doctor and have completed your third semester, you can also apply, but individual assessment may occur earlier.

Our offer to you

We look forward to you wanting to work with us and will do our best to ensure you gain knowledge and experience for a future professional role! We need summer substitutes from week 25 to week 33, and to make planning as good as possible, we would like you to be able to work continuously for at least four weeks. An introduction will take place in addition to these weeks during the spring at the clinic and also a region-wide introduction. If you have an employment of at least three weeks, you have the opportunity to use our wellness facilities located in Eksjö, Jönköping, Nässjö, and Värnamo.

Our Recruitment Process

The last application date is March 29, 2026, but we work with ongoing selection and interviews, so please apply as soon as possible if you are interested in working with us. Be sure to include any internships and work experience in your application and attach your diploma. If you are not yet finished with your studies, please attach a LADOK extract or other certificate showing completed courses.

Nursing assistant has been a protected professional title since July 1, 2023, which means you need to indicate in your application if you have applied for this. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and have not applied for a protected professional title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent employment in your application to continue to hold the title of nursing assistant.
