The Role of Specialist Nursing Assistant with Us

As a specialist nursing assistant with us, you will work according to the job description for nursing assistants where you will meet people with different needs in dementia care. In addition, the following tasks are also included:

• Initiate, drive, and implement quality and operational improvements.
• Support colleagues and develop work methods in care and nursing work.
• Support the manager in developing the operations based on the unit's needs.
• Be a support function in specific areas such as dementia, palliative care, mental illness, or substance abuse and comorbidity.
• Support and introduce new employees/colleagues.
• Be a supervisor (main supervisor) for workplace meetings (APL).
• Have assignments as a mentor.
• Contribute to the optimal use of the organization's resources.
• Collaboration internally and externally.

Your Profile

As a person, you are accommodating in your approach and attentive to your surroundings. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current work relationships. You are self-sufficient, responsible, and drive your work forward, delivering results and prioritizing your work effectively. You see opportunities in changes, take your own initiatives, and come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for you who are:

• an educated nursing assistant with proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of a protected professional title
• an educated specialist nursing assistant with 200 vocational college credits or alternatively 60 university credits

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience in the profession as a nursing assistant
• experience working in dementia
• a B driver's license

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a fixed-term assignment as a specialist nursing assistant full-time, but “underneath” a permanent employment as a nursing assistant. This means that your assignment as a specialist nursing assistant will transition to a regular permanent position as a nursing assistant after three years.

Please note that evening and weekend work is included in your schedule.

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title.
