About the Job

We offer an interesting, varied, and responsible job where you as a junior doctor have the opportunity to work alongside many different professionals.

The work includes the usual tasks of a junior doctor at a child and adolescent psychiatric clinic (BUP), such as medical assessments, medication initiation and follow-up, as well as assistance in writing prescriptions and certificates. All of this takes place under clinical supervision by a specialist. As a doctor at the BUP clinic, you are part of the medical team within BUP Halland. The position includes some on-call work within our inpatient department located in Halmstad.

The position is a fixed-term employment for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

About the Workplace

BUP has the mission to offer assessment and treatment to children and adolescents aged 0-17 years with psychiatric conditions and needs for specialist interventions. At the clinic in Varberg, we work cross-professionally together with employees who have high competence and experience in the field. BUP Varberg is a well-functioning clinic with good treatment results and high patient satisfaction. You will receive support in your work through our team conferences and regular supervision. Currently, two specialists work at the clinic. The clinic is characterized by a clear patient focus and a good collaborative climate.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a junior doctor before or after your residency. If you have previous experience working within BUP or have experience from other related specialties, it is a plus, but not a requirement.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other organizations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing (C1 level) and have the ability to listen and adapt your communication according to the counterpart. You are flexible in your way of working and have a good ability to collaborate with all professional roles. Furthermore, you are skilled at planning and prioritizing your work. We place great importance on personal suitability.
