The office is responsible for municipal primary care, special accommodations, home care, and regulatory activities. The Position

The position of Safety and Preparedness Coordinator is located in the Operations Support Department, where you, together with other colleagues in the unit, work as a supportive function for the Care and Welfare Office's operations.

Job Responsibilities

As a Safety and Preparedness Coordinator, you will coordinate the important safety work within the Care and Welfare Office. There are equivalent roles in other offices in the municipality with which you can collaborate, but for the Care and Welfare Office, you are the person who handles issues related to safety and preparedness. You will work closely with the Safety and Security Department in Norrköping municipality and operate both in the operational and strategic areas. You will also have close collaboration with managers and other support functions in the office, as well as with external parties such as the police and volunteer organizations.

You will actively work with planning, implementation, and documentation, where you are accustomed to working with risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity plans, and other overarching plans and strategies. You will be part of the office's crisis team, where you are expected to contribute knowledge and lead other staff in the area where you have specialist competence.

The role will involve working on issues related to safety work, security protection, crisis preparedness, and other relevant preparedness and safety work. Part of the job is to monitor legal requirements and keep yourself and the organization updated on the situation locally, nationally, and internationally.

In your assignment, you will work to identify, minimize, and prevent risks within the Care and Welfare Office's area of responsibility.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for training, raising awareness, and practicing with employees in safety and preparedness-related issues, such as threats and violence and continuity management. You will also guide staff based on situations that arise. This is a varied role that suits you if you enjoy having a flexible work environment where no day is the same.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education focused on safety work and/or crisis preparedness, such as vocational training in the field, university education, police degree, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

You have previous experience working in the safety and preparedness field, where you have gained essential experiences that will be beneficial in this role. Your communication is one of your strengths that facilitates the work of producing documentation and writing risk and vulnerability analyses, something we would like to see you have done in previous assignments.

Your knowledge in safety work is very good, and you are well updated in the field. If you have also worked in care and welfare, we see this as an extra positive as it creates a good understanding of the context in which you will work.

We place great importance on your personal qualities, where social, analytical, and pedagogical abilities are particularly desirable. You are a secure and stable person who identifies needs and meets people where they are. You have the ability to make well-balanced decisions based on current conditions and available information. You are flexible and can easily adjust your focus when the work requires it.

Working in a team-based manner is something you enjoy, but you also possess the drive to work purposefully on your own. You find it easy to collaborate with others and are eager to initiate new professional relationships and networks both within and outside the municipal organization. Your communication skills are good, allowing you to adapt your communication to the recipient, both in speech and writing.

The position is classified in a security class, which means that employment will be preceded by a security clearance in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
