Sylvamo, Nymölla Mill is looking for an Automation Designer Sylvamo Nymölla Mill is located twenty kilometers east of Kristianstad in Bromölla municipality. The mill produces pulp using the magnefite method and uncoated fine paper. Multicopy is our most well-known product. The production capacity is 340,000 tons of pulp and 475,000 tons of fine paper.

We offer you to become part of our automation department, which is responsible for improving and maintaining our process equipment, which includes control systems and measurement and analysis equipment. We are a larger team, with smaller workgroups consisting of designers, who work together to keep the process equipment current and functional. We have a strong drive for problem-solving and gladly make room for a laugh or two along the way.
About the position As an automation designer with us, you will work with our automation and instrumentation equipment throughout Nymölla Mill that controls and measures values in our process industry. The work involves management, development, and optimization of the equipment in close collaboration with operations.
This includes:
- Troubleshooting
- Design
- Preventive maintenance
- Developing materials that can replace older equipment
- Collaboration with external suppliers
- Evaluation of collaboration and developed materials
- Ordering internal and external resources and materials
You will also be involved as a resource in project groups and participate in work with advanced problem-solving. In the role of automation designer, you will be strategically involved in our work with continuous improvements according to the LEAN method. You see it as a given to assist with training colleagues and also suggest training initiatives within the process area to ensure the ongoing maintenance required.
Who are you? We are looking for a person with a genuine interest in technology in control systems and process equipment, drive, and the ability to work in a structured manner. In the department, we work both individually and in groups, and therefore we would like you to be a team player with a good ability to collaborate, take initiative, and drive work forward. We also appreciate that it is natural for you to help your colleagues, maintain order, and take responsibility for ensuring that the team does a good job together and moves forward.
Your skills and experience Requirements:
- Approved high school diploma
- Driver's license B
- Education in technology, electrical engineering, or automation
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
Meritorious:
- Desirable with at least 2 years of work experience in the field
- Knowledge of DCS systems
- Experience in IT/OT systems
- Experience with CAD
- Knowledge in control engineering
- Knowledge in process industry and instrumentation

Other Working hours are during the day, and the position is full-time with placement according to agreement. On-call duty may occur. We apply a probationary period.
