About the position:

As a Software Engineer with our client, you will be part of a global R&D network where each site contributes its unique expertise. In Gothenburg, they work with the RobotStudio product family: advanced tools for robot programming, modeling, simulation, and offline programming of robots.

You will work on the development of commercial desktop applications in C#/.NET, where you will gain both technical depth and significant influence on the future of robotics solutions. The work is done in close collaboration with development colleagues worldwide, in an environment where innovation, quality, and technical refinement are at the center.
They value teamwork, knowledge sharing, and a long-term technical perspective. Therefore, we would like you to be able to work on-site at the office most of the week to contribute to the culture.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has professional experience in C#/.NET development
  • Enjoys developing robust desktop applications
  • Has a BSc or MSc in fields such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a similar area
  • Is curious about robotics, simulation, digital twins, and intuitive user interfaces
  • Likes to collaborate, share knowledge, and contribute to a good team climate
  • Can tackle complex technical issues while maintaining a holistic perspective
  • Has good communication skills and documents your work clearly
  • Is proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is a plus if you have:

  • Experience with C++
  • Experience with WPF or other modern UI frameworks
  • Previous experience with 3D graphics, simulation, or robotics
  • Worked systematically with quality assurance, e.g., unit or integration testing
  • Experience building scalable, efficient software solutions within the .NET environment
    Furthermore, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, where we are looking for someone who is proactive and responsible. You are communicative and enjoy collaborating with others, and you have the ability to build trusting relationships with customers and colleagues. We also appreciate creativity in your thinking and a solution-oriented approach.

About the employment:

This is initially a 6-month consulting assignment but with good chances of extension.
