We are looking for a senior strategist to strengthen and ensure the quality of work with artificial intelligence within a larger public service organization. The assignment is strategic and involves creating a common direction, language, and working methods for responsible AI, with a clear anchoring in operational benefits, political mandate, ethics, and long-term sustainability.

You will work closely with internal specialists, operational representatives, project management, and steering groups. The focus is on enabling value creation through rule-based processes, knowledge support, and automation, without compromising data sovereignty, legal security, or transparency.

• Contribute to the design and anchoring of the purpose layers, strategic principles, and choices of the AI work.
• Support management dialogues and decision preparations at the strategic level.
• Ensure quality in methodology, analysis, and syntheses in policy and strategy sprints.
• Act as a strategic sounding board for project management and steering groups.
• Ensure that human-centered design, ethics, and societal benefit are integrated throughout the strategic process.
• Facilitate strategic workshops and discussions.
• Develop and review strategic documents, including presentations, reports, and policy and strategy documents.
• Present and verbally report to management teams and larger forums.

• At least 20 years of documented experience in strategic work within design, digital innovation, and/or AI.
• Documented senior competence in human-centered design combined with AI, including strategic application in complex organizations.
• Experience in leading strategic roles over the last 10 years (e.g., strategist, design director, research leader, or equivalent).
• PhD or equivalent in a relevant field such as AI, information technology, design, or cognitive science.
• Excellent communication skills and experience presenting and facilitating for management teams and larger groups.
• Ability to develop, structure, and ensure quality in strategic decision-making materials (presentations, reports, policy, and strategy documents).

• Experience in combining academic research with practical strategic work.
• Published knowledge in the field (e.g., book, guidelines, or frameworks for AI-driven service development).
• Experience in training, lectures, or skills development in AI and design.
