The Eastern Blekinge Rescue Service is a rescue service federation operating within the municipalities of Karlskrona and Ronneby. The rescue services have a developed collaboration in Blekinge even though we exist in two different organizations.

Job Responsibilities

As a fire engineer, you will focus on preventive issues.

In Blekinge, there is a wide variety of activities and facilities, many connected to the coastal location. There are also several larger industries with various types of risk activities. A significant presence of military operations and cultural buildings also characterizes the region. We strive for close and good cooperation with the municipalities' residents in the form of advice, supervision, permit management, accident investigation, training, and other recurring tasks. We continuously exchange experiences with rescue services primarily in Blekinge and Kronoberg.

We expect you to join our preparedness function as a regional incident commander as soon as possible after your introduction.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an approved fire engineering degree and MSB's advanced training in rescue services for fire engineers (RUB).

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Previous experience as a fire engineer and regional incident commander is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-assured and have no difficulties meeting other people. Other qualities we value include being structured, engaged, responsible, proactive, and analytical. You can work both independently and in a team and have good communication skills.

Employment Type

Full-time and permanent employment. A six-month probationary period may apply. The position is security classified, which means you will undergo a security check and be assigned to our organization in case of war.
