Property Caretaker at Marks Bostads AB

Marks Bostads AB is a publicly owned housing company fully owned by the municipality. We own and manage approximately 3,800 apartments and about 200 smaller premises in 14 locations within Marks municipality for rental to individuals and municipal care. Currently, we have 69 employees working within the company. Most work in our residential areas close to our tenants, while others work from our offices located in Kinna and Örby. We have a variety of professional categories represented, but regardless of job role, we all work towards the same vision of creating safe and pleasant housing for everyone, together with our tenants and partners.

As a Property Caretaker with us, you will work both indoors and outdoors and have daily contact with our tenants.

Our tenants will appreciate your efforts, which is reflected in our customer satisfaction that we measure continuously. You will be part of a group of property caretakers who plan your tasks for the day and week together. You will work both independently and with your colleagues, reporting directly to our Property Service Manager.

Some of the tasks

  • Receive and handle maintenance requests.
  • Perform minor repairs and replacements in plumbing, electrical, appliances, as well as read and document consumption values.
  • Conduct self-inspections according to routine and systematic fire safety work.
  • Supervise and change filters in ventilation units in collaboration with operations technicians.
  • Operational service in our properties with elderly care.
  • Apartment viewings as needed and cleaning inspections upon move-out.
  • Manage internal and external cleaning in stairwells, etc., as well as maintain green areas, snow removal, and sanding depending on the season and weather.

  • You are open and attentive, practically minded, and have a strong interest in learning new things.
  • You enjoy providing service and a good reception, which is very important both in relation to colleagues and in dialogue with all tenants.
  • You like to work in a structured manner and enjoy planning your workdays.

Your qualifications

We believe you have some experience in similar operations and/or tasks, and it is an advantage if you have property caretaker training or similar. You speak Swedish, and if you have additional language skills, it can be beneficial. A B driver's license is a requirement. If you also have extended authorization (B96) and training and experience in operating a wheel loader, that is a plus. You are accustomed to using relevant digital tools and mobile phones in your job as support for communication and to find relevant information.
