ValueOne is looking for an Operational Purchaser for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in the manufacturing industry in Ludvika. The assignment starts immediately and lasts until April 2026 with the possibility of extension.

About the role
As an operational purchaser, you are responsible for ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time to support efficient production. The role is central to the organization and plays a crucial role in ensuring that production runs smoothly and that deliveries to customers occur as planned.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage material signals, planning proposals, purchase orders, cancellations, and follow-up on receipts and order confirmations.
- Plan material flows and communicate with suppliers regarding delivery times, capacity, and deviations.
- Participate in inventories, stock adjustments, and be responsible for handling freight invoices.
- Manage safety stock, lead times, order intervals, and safety time.
- Work on phasing out obsolete items, reducing inventory and capital binding, and managing contract purchases and materials for testing/re-inspection.
- Actively contribute to improvements in purchasing and inventory management.
Experience and competence
We are looking for someone with experience in operational purchasing within the manufacturing industry. You have good knowledge of Excel and are used to working in business systems. You communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written, and it is an advantage if you also speak Swedish fluently. It is beneficial if you have a YH education or post-secondary education in logistics or purchasing. Knowledge of the SAP business system and previous experience in the manufacturing industry is also considered an advantage.
As a person, you are structured and work systematically with a good ability to prioritize. You are a team player who communicates well and collaborates effectively with both internal and external parties.
