Naval Warfare School Seeks Head Teacher for Catering

About the Unit and the Position
The Ship Training Unit (FuE) is part of the Naval Warfare School (SSS), which supports the naval units with training, development, and unit exercises. The school conducts training that includes basic soldier and sailor training, basic officer training (Officer Program, Specialist Officer Training), Higher Specialist Officer Training (HSOU), as well as vocational and position training for employed personnel. The focus of SSS's operations is to contribute to the capabilities of other naval units for armed combat.
The position of Head Teacher for Catering is located at FuE and the Logistics Department (IntA). The position is primarily performed in Karlskrona, during daytime hours from 07:30 to 16:30 with a flexible working hours agreement. You also have the opportunity for training 3 hours/week during working hours.
To develop within the profession, there are good opportunities for further education both within your specialty area and in other activities within the department and the Armed Forces.
Main Responsibilities
Your daily work will consist of planning, structuring, and executing activities within the catering service. You will work independently and together with others in the area of catering and supply logistics in the fleet. You will partly serve as course leader for courses conducted by the Logistics Department and support the logistics personnel of the units.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Planning, structuring, and conducting courses in kitchens related to catering and supply logistics at sea.
- Developing and revising courses in collaboration with the department to achieve the goal of robust supply logistics at sea.
- Compiling and preparing materials from participants in the courses.
- Supporting the department in tasks outside of course hours related to catering, etc.
Qualifications
- Completed and approved officer examination, at least SO 6/OF 1
- Familiar with existing support systems and applicable regulations
- Trained chef – civilian or military
- Good pedagogical skills and experience in teaching
Meritorious
- Experience in naval service
- Experience in field cooking
- Experience in staff service
- Driver's license class B
- Previous service at the Naval Warfare School
Personal Qualities
The position is versatile and requires you to be flexible, have good collaboration skills while being able to work independently. You are ambitious and solution-oriented. You have good social skills, a positive attitude, and are attentive. You have a good ability to plan and organize your work effectively while following given priorities and guidelines.
The focus is on training conscripts up to officers, where the emphasis must be on finding approaches that ensure each individual receives the support they need.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
More About the Employment
The position is a military permanent employment at 100% with a 40-hour workweek. Placement: Karlskrona. Start date: By agreement. Salary: Individual salary setting applies. Please state salary expectations. Travel may occur in the position.
The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not previously employed by the authority.
