Mechanic - Hydrogen Plant

Location: Boden

As a maintenance mechanic in our hydrogen plant (HMP, Hydrogen Manufacturing Plant), you will work practically with rotating equipment, pneumatic systems, piping systems, and the infrastructure that is crucial for the production and storage of hydrogen. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, planned maintenance, and following technical documentation to ensure safe and efficient operation. You will work closely with control room staff, engineers, and other departments to ensure that maintenance work is carried out safely and with minimal impact on the plant's operations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair of pumps, compressors, and motors to ensure continuous hydrogen production
  • Service and troubleshoot pneumatic systems for process control and activation
  • Inspect and maintain industrial pipelines, valves, and fittings to prevent leaks and ensure integrity
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules
  • Use technical manuals and maintenance systems for troubleshooting, parts replacement, and reporting

Who we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Solid experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably from process or industrial environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, motors, and pneumatic systems
  • Good familiarity with maintenance of industrial piping systems, valves, and mechanical couplings
  • Competence in torque tightening according to industry standards (e.g., EN 1591-4)
  • Ability to perform visual inspections to identify wear, misalignments, or leaks
  • Familiarity with working with maintenance systems and technical manuals
  • Experience with mechanical lifting operations and handling lifting equipment
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures in high-pressure or hazardous environments
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize production downtime
