This position is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process is conducted through Bravura, and you will be employed directly by Rolling Optics.
About the company
Rolling Optics is a Swedish innovative technology company that has been developing and producing micro-optical films with 3D and motion effects since 2005. These films are used in banknotes, passports, ID cards, as well as security solutions and anti-counterfeiting for well-known brands. The products are manufactured using patented technology and are used globally by leading players in the high-security industry, including integrated products in collaboration with Rolling Optics partners CCL Secure (AUS/UK) and Oberthur Fiduciaire (FR).
Rolling Optics currently has 24 employees, with the entire chain gathered under one roof – from idea and design to development, marketing, sales, and production. This allows employees to gain a clear overall understanding, quick feedback, and good opportunities to influence the entire process. The operation, which consists of engineers, printers, developers, and technicians, is based in newly renovated and secure premises in Solna Strand.
Responsibilities
As a technical printer at Rolling Optics, you will work with the manufacturing of micro-optical films – an advanced process where precision, accuracy, and technical interest are at the center. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the manufacturing processes to ensure that the products meet high-quality standards. The work includes both production and process responsibilities, as well as other tasks that contribute to the overall manufacturing chain. You will work full-time to produce according to orders, conduct development tests, perform service and maintenance on production equipment, and prepare manufactured materials for delivery.
You will, among other things:
- Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment for micro-optical printing
- Perform quality controls on products and printing tools
- Participate in process optimization and development of new materials and prints
- Perform maintenance, service, and troubleshooting of processes and equipment
- Ensure that manufacturing procedures and recipes are followed
You will be an important part of a smaller, close-knit production team where responsibility and teamwork are crucial for success. The work is done closely with production leaders, technicians, and engineers to ensure that every detail meets the highest standards.
Education, experience, and personal qualities
- Technical high school education, preferably with a focus on printing, process technology, or equivalent post-secondary education
- Experience from a printing company
- Strongly meritorious with experience working in a manufacturing environment, especially within Roll-to-Roll production
- Good computer skills and understanding of technical equipment
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
