Schnell Recruitment AB is seeking, on behalf of our client, a junior driven and analytical bid engineer who wants to contribute to successful projects within the construction and civil engineering industry.

We are looking for someone with 1–2 years of experience in cost estimation, bidding, or project planning who wants to take the next step in their career. The position is located at the client’s headquarters in central Stockholm.

About the role

As a bid engineer, you will be a key person in the work of developing competitive bids and estimates. You will work closely with project managers, production, and suppliers to ensure well-prepared and accurate bids. The role offers a good balance between technical work, analysis, and collaboration.

Examples of tasks:

• Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, and contract documents
• Perform cost calculations and pricing
• Participate in the development of schedules and project planning
• Compile bid requests and participate in supplier negotiations
• Contribute to the development of bidding strategies
• Document work and hand over to production
• Provide support to the project team during the execution phase

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• 1–2 years of experience in cost estimation, bidding, or project planning within construction/infrastructure
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills, preferably experience with estimation and planning tools

Meritorious:

• Experience from rock or tunnel projects
• Knowledge of contract law (AB 04, ABT 06) and AMA/MER
• Experience with programs such as BidCon, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, PowerProject, or MS Project
