The County Hospital Somatics coordinates the county's healthcare for specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county healthcare operations. The county healthcare operations are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, and at several clinics located in various towns in the county. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.

Ambulance care is a county-wide operation that is constantly evolving to offer patients the best possible care. With us, both newly trained and experienced nurses work, possessing high personal maturity, initiative, and a good ability to collaborate and solve challenges. We have clear and easily accessible guidelines that support both new and experienced staff.

We are looking for several new colleagues for permanent employment within the region, with placements in Härnösand, Kramfors, Sollefteå, and Sundsvall! The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.

Nurse/Ambulance Nurse for the Ambulance Service, Region Västernorrland Job Responsibilities

The ambulance service offers a secure onboarding program where you work under supervision and develop through internal training and growing experience in the prehospital profession. We encourage further education and try to adapt study time to your needs. A good working environment and opportunities for reflection and learning are important aspects that we actively work on to ensure you thrive with us. The job requires good physical endurance. Upon hiring, a fitness test is conducted with personal feedback and follow-up. As a new employee, you will always work alongside an experienced nurse.

Job responsibilities include, among others:

• Care for patients suffering from acute illness or injury
• Transport of patients in need of ambulance care.
• You will meet patients in varying environments and spend a lot of time outdoors.
• The job involves a significant amount of driving, and you will demonstrate good judgment in traffic.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Has held a B driver's license for at least two years

It is advantageous if you

• Have training in prehospital care
• Have good medical knowledge
• Have a C driver's license. If you lack a C driver's license or do not qualify for an exemption (B driver's license obtained before 1996-07-01, without revocation after this date), the ambulance service will cover the cost of a training package for a C driver's license.
