The County Hospital Somatics coordinates the county healthcare for specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county healthcare operations. The county healthcare operations are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, and a number of clinics located in several towns in the county. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.

The ambulance service is a county-wide operation that is constantly evolving to provide patients with the best possible care. With us, both newly educated and experienced nurses work, possessing high personal maturity, initiative, and a good ability to collaborate and solve challenges. We have clear and easily accessible guidelines that serve as support for both new and experienced staff.

We are looking for several new colleagues for permanent employment within the region, with placements in Härnösand, Kramfors, Sollefteå, and Sundsvall! The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement.

Nurse/Ambulance Nurse for the Ambulance Service, Region Västernorrland Job Responsibilities

The ambulance service offers a secure onboarding program where you work under supervision and develop through internal training and growing experience in the pre-hospital profession. We encourage further education and try to adapt study time to your needs. A good working environment and opportunities for reflection and learning are important aspects that we actively work on to ensure you thrive with us. The job requires good physical endurance. Upon hiring, a fitness test is conducted with personal feedback and follow-up. As a new employee, you always work alongside an experienced nurse.

The job responsibilities include, among other things:

• Care for patients suffering from acute illness or injury
• Transport of patients in need of ambulance care.
• You meet patients in varying environments and spend a lot of time outdoors.
• The profession involves a significant amount of driving, and you demonstrate good judgment in traffic.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Has held a B driver's license for at least two years

It is advantageous if you

• Have training in pre-hospital care
• Have good medical knowledge
• Have a C driver's license. If you lack a C driver's license or do not qualify for an exemption (B driver's license obtained before 1996-07-01, without revocation after this date), the ambulance service will cover a training package for a C driver's license.
