Your responsibilities We are now looking for a mechanic for Södra's sawmill in Värö. As a mechanic, you will work with corrective and preventive maintenance, improvement work, and participate in the department's operational development. We strive to create high availability in the facility. The position as a mechanic with us offers you a varied and responsible job where you work both independently and in a team with other mechanics and electricians.

The position is a permanent employment located at Södra's sawmill in Väröbacka. Working hours are scheduled on a 4-shift basis, with a start date to be agreed upon.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who has completed a high school education with a focus on mechanics or equivalent work experience. You have a positive attitude, are service-oriented, and possess good technical understanding. As a person, you also have the ability to see connections and actively seek solutions to problems. Furthermore, we believe you are proactive and enjoy working both independently and in a group.

For us at Södra, the work environment and safety are important issues, so you need to be safety-conscious. In addition, you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, as well as a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you also have:

-Experience in maintenance of machinery or have worked in some form of production flow

-Experience in hydraulics

-Good computer skills
